About the Company
Coping Skills for Kids was founded in by Janine Halloran, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience working with children teens and their families. She has worked as a school counselor in a variety of school settings, which informs her work and the strategies that are used at Coping Skills for Kids.
Coping Skills for Kids provides products and resources to help kids learn healthy ways to cope with stress, anxiety, and anger. All of the products are designed by Janine Halloran and start with evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness. To learn more about this, read here. The products are kid-friendly, colorful and are made to be used by kids with the support of a family member or another trusted adult, like a school counselor or therapist.
Just as we care for our children's physical needs, the mental health of our children is essential and needs to be addressed. We as the adults can help nurture and support the mental health of children, so they can build essential social and emotional skills.

About JANINE Halloran, M.A., LMHC
Janine Halloran is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a mom of 2. She has been helping children and teens build their coping skills throughout her career in a variety of settings, including schools, mental health clinics and in her private practice. She is the author of several books, including the bestselling Coping Skills for Kids Workbook and the Coping Skills for Teens Workbook. Her work has been featured in the Boston Globe, CNN, Huffington Post, Psych Central, and The Skimm® Newsletter.
As a counselor working primarily with children and adolescents for the last 20 years, Janine has seen the value of learning healthy coping skills early in life. Children who can cope in healthy ways will be more resilient and manage stress better as adults.
As a parent of two, Janine has also been teaching these coping skills at home to her children. She understands from first-hand experience that it’s not always perfect. She strives for making progress, however small a step it is. Janine created Coping Skills for Kids as a place where professionals and parents could get resources to teach children how to deal with their emotions in healthy ways.
